Rolling Hills Nut Company / Northside Food became involved with the Maintenance Manufacturing Pre-Apprentice Program as an opportunity to help develop and refine the future generation of our industry.  We understand that maintenance and automation is the future of food manufacturing.  Aside from assisting with the development of future maintenance technicians, we’re also utilizing this program as a recruitment tool for our future employees.  We have the opportunity to teach the apprentices our method and approach to maintaining equipment to increase throughput and runtime to continue creating quality products.

From day one, Santos has come in with such a fantastic attitude.  It's clear he’s eager to learn and contribute, always asking good questions and never afraid to get his hands dirty. That kind of enthusiasm is contagious and really sets the tone for future apprentices.  It's refreshing to see someone who genuinely enjoys what they're doing.

With Santos, it’s not just about attitude.  His skills have been growing at an impressive rate.  He’s been absorbing new techniques and processes like a sponge.  You can tell he’s really putting the effort in to learn and expand his skillset.  Whether it's assisting mechanics with troubleshooting equipment issues or learning the ins and outs of our maintenance protocols, he’s on top of it.  It's been a pleasure watching him progress so quickly!
