How long has it been since you worked?
I began my six-month internship with the City of Modesto in August 2022. At the beginning of 2023, I got a full-time job with the City of Modesto as an Account Clerk for the Finance Department.
What struggles were you dealing with?
I was having a hard time finding employment because I was a college graduate that did not have any real work experience.
Which Stanislaus County Workforce Development services helped you the most?
All the services were great. The most help was from the amazing employees that notified me about resources that were available to me.
What was your experience?
Amazing. SCWD is a great help to many people including myself. They were there to support me throughout my entire internship and even after I found a full-time job.
Would you like to thank anyone?
Diana Carerra and Jaime Perez. They always answered my questions and helped me find resources that would lead me to success. Thank you both.
How do you feel about your success now?
I feel accomplished and I am excited for my new career opportunity.
