How long has it been since you worked?

California Crews Day Labor when needed for the last year. Prior to this I served 20 years in prison from a murder I did not commit but was present for. I was released early due to aw changes.

What struggles were you dealing with?

Not having a job, no transportation, no income. Stayed with mom briefly but was told to leave. So I asked my sister’s husband if I could move in until I am employed.

Which Stanislaus County Workforce Development services helped you the most and why?

From the beginning when I was registering, I was treated with respect and kindness. I was provided with a chance to start new and success.

What was your experience?

SCWD is committed to making lives better. SCWD delivered what they stated they would do. They are positive with a can-do attitude.
