How long has it been since you worked?
I was unemployed for 7 months
What struggles were you dealing with?
My age played a part, even thought t wasn’t supposed to be, but many younger men with less experience were hired for the jobs I was seeking.
Which Stanislaus County Workforce Development services helped you the most?
The workshops were a big plus, they showed me what I was doing wrong. Taught me a better way of doing my resume and how to compose myself for personal interviews.
What was your experience?
Awesome, they were perfect, their guidance was priceless.
Would you like to thank anyone?
All the employees were exceptional people. They all went above and beyond to help people. The most exceptional person is Lisa Simms who made it her mission to keep me going and give guidance when I needed it.
How do you feel about your success now?
Blessed. They gave me hope to keep going. Bless them all.
