EMPLOYERS
SOLVE TODAY'S WORKLOAD WITH TOMORROW'S WORKFORCE!

WHY HIRE A SUMMER YOUTH?
INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY
Additional labor allows businesses to take advantage of short-term support. Additional productivity can help free up existing staff to accomplish special projects or tasks that require higher-level expertise.
FIND FUTURE EMPLOYEES
Participating in the Summer Youth Workforce program allows you the benefit of added labor while avoiding the potential pitfall of training a new hire that ends up not being the right fit.
NO COST LABOR
Stanislaus County Workforce Development is the employer of record for Youth Summer Workforce candidates and pays all wages, taxes and worker's compensation associated with employment.
NO COST RECRUITMENT
Summer Youth Workforce Advisors pre-screen candidates and provide resume, interview and soft skills training as necessary. Please inform Youth Advisor staff if the open position in your company requires a specific skill set or level of interest.
DEVELOP LEADERSHIP IN CURRENT STAFF
As current employees mentor and supervise interns, they'll gain valuable leadership skills. This can provide excellent training for a current employee who will eventually move into a leadership role.
SUPPORT LOCAL STUDENTS
Support local students in gaining valuable experience, develop important job-related skills, make connections, strengthen their resumes and assess their interests and abilities.
*Work permit required for anyone under the age of 18 years old.
This program is funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and is available to those who qualify. This WIOA Title I financially assisted program or activity is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
